Ask Hans is AI-assisted transaction-coordination software for real estate professionals. Hans helps you track clients, deals, tasks, and deadlines, and can act on your instructions to update those records. Hans is software, not a person: he is not a licensed real estate professional, attorney, lender, or fiduciary, and nothing he produces is legal, financial, or brokerage advice. You remain solely responsible for your professional obligations, your transactions, and verifying anything that matters.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for everyone you allow to use your account. The information you put into Ask Hans — client names, contact details, transaction terms, documents — is yours. By entering it, you confirm you have the right to store and process that information with a service provider like us, consistent with your obligations to your clients and your brokerage.
We process your data to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data or your clients' data.
Ask Hans is currently in a beta period. Features may change, and occasionally things will break — that's part of what beta means.
Conversation review. To improve Hans, our team (including automated review tools) may review conversations you have with Hans — chat, voice calls, and emails you forward to him — along with how Hans acted on them. We use this to fix mistakes, close capability gaps, and make Hans better for you. Review findings are internal to Common Area, are not sold or shared externally, and are handled under our Privacy Policy. If a quote from a conversation is ever used publicly (for example, in marketing), it will be anonymized or used only with your permission.
AI processing is provided by third-party model providers under contracts that prohibit them from training their models on your data.
Use Ask Hans only for lawful business purposes. Don't use it to send spam, harass anyone, infringe others' rights, probe or disrupt the service, or enter data you don't have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that do.
Paid plans are billed as described at purchase ($99/user/month, or $79/user/month billed annually, unless your account has different founding or promotional terms). Trials are free and require no card. You can cancel anytime; service continues through the period you've paid for. Founding-tester accounts keep the terms they were granted.
The service is provided "as is." AI systems make mistakes: Hans can mishear, misread, or mis-record. Review important records and never rely on Hans as your only system for legally significant deadlines. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Common Area LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can close your account anytime. On request, we'll delete your account data, subject to legal retention requirements. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Program name: Ask Hans Deal Updates, operated by Common Area LLC. Messages sent through this program are transactional: one message is sent per agent-approved transaction update, at the agent's request. We do not send recurring or promotional texts through this program. Message frequency varies — typically one message per transaction update. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to cancel. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and will send no further messages. To rejoin, reply START, or contact support.
